Stomach Cancer is the second most common type of cancer after lung cancer. 1 in 10 cancer patients has stomach cancer.

In the case of gastric cancer, eating habits are an important part of it. Excessive consumption of salty foods, inadequate diet of vegetables and fruits are the most common causes of nutrition-related cancer. In addition, hereditary factors are a factor in the development of stomach cancer.

Early stomach cancer has no symptoms. The disease can be diagnosed by endoscopic examination of people at risk. However, in advanced periods, the following symptoms appear:

  • In half of the patients, a mass is felt in the manual examination.
  • Pain in the stomach area and the feeling that the stomach is aggravated.
  • Lack of appetite and the resulting weight loss
  • Feeling of discomfort and stomach swelling after eating,
  • Nausea, vomiting,
  • Anemia also occurs in the majority of people with stomach cancer.
  • Fatigue
  • Bleeding in the   stomach or intestine

Endoscopy is the most effective diagnostic method for gastric cancer.

Surgical methods are used in the treatment of stomach cancers; the stomach is removed by surgery. According to the form of cancer, postoperative radiation therapy and medication therapy are applied.
